• Firefighting Sr. Specialist
• Job Purpose:
• Fire Prevention engineer in EH&S is responsible for ensuring fire safety and monitoring laws and regulations. Its primary jobs are to assess the status of fire safety; establish and implement firefighting/fire prevention guidelines based on laws, regulations and Company's standards. This position needs to interact with a wide range of stakeholders, including firefighting supervisors, utility engineers and operators, equipment engineers, controls engineers, manufacturing engineers, manufacturing managers, vendors and local community to identify issues related to firefighting/prevention and to assess and report on any alternatives. This position requires some on-call support.
• 2. Job Duties and Responsibilities

- Support adoption and implementation of fire prevention plans, measures and procedures in accordance with laws, regulations, Company's standards.

- Conduct regular inspection to check the status of compliance with firefighting/fire prevention laws, regulations, Company's standards at workplace

- Monitor whether firefighting and fire prevention facilities meet authorization/permission regulations and report to the management

- Check the occupational firefighting prevention law and establish and/or revise procedure, manual

- Participate plant's daily Safety Team Meetings and monthly Safety Process Review Board Meetings

- Establish protection, prevention and inspection plans for firefighting systems of all buildings and manufacturing processes site

- Purchase and maintain firefighting equipment and device and inspect them regularly

Maintain the certification status of firefighting equipment and device

• 2. Emergency Planning & Response

Establish emergency response systems and organize emergency response team

- Create and review emergency response training scenarios

- Plan the necessary emergency response training

- Identify root causes and plan recurrence prevention measures when fire accident occurs

• 3. Communications

- Respond to complaints relating to fire safety matters from local community- Liaise effectively with Statutory Authorities, external fire departments as needed

- Liaise effectively with the Operations Leadership, Medical and plant floor teams4. Training & Development

- Provide training employees and vendors on fire prevention at manufacturing environment

- Develop the training materials

Support the training of the emergency response team

5. Other tasks as necessary to meet the organization's objectives"

-Coach and mentor assigned team members

-Hold limited personnel authority of assigned team members (initial evaluation authority, job interviews, etc.)"
