Precision Aviation Group (PAG) is a leading provider of products and value-added services to the aerospace and defense industries worldwide. With over 1.1 million-square-feet of sales and services facilities in the United States, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Brazil – PAG’s 27 locations and customer-focused business model serve aviation customers through Supply Chain and Inventory Supported Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (ISMRO) services.

JOB PURPOSE

The General Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the growth and profitability of PAG companies by facilitating various operational activities, managing internal teams and external partners. This position is responsible for overseeing all the daily operations of the assigned facility, leading a team to ensure all Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) occurs on schedule, while maintaining exceptional quality, containing labor and inventory costs and availability. They will review and improve the facility effectiveness by developing processes, overseeing employees and establishing a highly motivated work environment. This role involves working with other PAG leaders and our partners to develop and implement key initiatives to align with the company's strategic objectives.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Job Functions:

  • Communicate and uphold PAG’s mission, vision, and values with employees.
  • Own all aspects of the operation and work with your team to ensure that daily, weekly and monthly targets are met, and ALL areas are clean, orderly, safe and ready for operation.
  • Direct and assign managers/supervisors to ensure efficient daily operations of the MRO process.
  • Manage the oversight of company safety requirements, operations, costs, and quality control of the assigned facility. This includes, but is not limited to, production planning and reporting, facility performance, labor management, balancing inputs, throughput & demand, and facilities maintenance.
  • Work collaboratively with a US and Internationally based sales force to ensure sales forecasts are met.
  • Work collaboratively with Supply Chain team to assure parts are available and vendor services are efficiently supporting operations.
  • Work collaboratively with Quality team to assure optimal quality in accordance with FAA, US Military and international requirements.
  • Oversee large projects and develop / interpret performance reports
  • Development and adhere to budgets that support the current and forecast activity.
  • Implement changes to facility operations, manufacturing methods, facility layouts, capital equipment, and procedures to ensure corporate goals and customer expectations are met.
  • Analyze, recommend, and justify the purchase of capital equipment to support the company’s strategic direction and changing technology needs.
  • Oversee the overall recruitment and selection of employees in coordination with Human Resources and the facility management team.
  • Oversee training and development of employees to meet current and future needs.
  • Work with management team to develop present and future job responsibilities and performance expectations.

Strategic Leadership & Vision Summary

The leader is responsible for driving the facility’s overall strategy, ensuring alignment with PAG’s mission, vision, and values. This includes setting clear strategic direction across MRO, logistics, and sales, while overseeing all key operational, financial, and regulatory activities through department heads. This role ensures full regulatory compliance, safety governance, and continuous improvement in MRO performance, production efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include managing the site’s financial performance, capital investments, and budgetary targets while collaborating with corporate functions to support site objectives. The leader actively participates in corporate planning, monitors key performance metrics, and presents results to executive leadership. People leadership is central, with a focus on talent development, accountability, and cultivating a high-performance culture.

Continuous improvement, innovation, and customer service excellence remain top priorities, ensuring sustained operational effectiveness, client satisfaction, and business growth.

Marginal Job Functions:

  • Knowledge of general office clerical procedures.
  • Strong computer skills with expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

Physical Demands: Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Requires frequent walking, bending, and reaching to shoulder level. Requires occasional squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling weight up to 20 pounds. Requires repetitive hand movement. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

Equipment Operated: Ability to operate office machines and equipment and troubleshoot problems with equipment.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of and ability to develop and implement safety standards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Knowledge of and ability to develop and implement quality standards, procedures, specifications, and corrective actions.
  • Ability to effectively manage the selection, assessment, training and development, work direction, coaching and quality of life of the assigned facilities staff.
  • Ability to evaluate employee performance against established standards, recognizing employee strengths and developmental needs, and determine appropriate compensation adjustments.
  • Knowledge of and ability to effectively apply management practices to motivate staff, deal with difficult employee issues, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, in verbal and written form, with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of and ability to manage Aerospace MRO production, service and quality processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple calendars, cost and quality driven priorities.
  • Knowledge of and ability to develop and manage a budget
  • Ability to read, interpret, apply, and communicate technical information, including drawings and specifications.

Education/Training: High School diploma or equivalent required. Post-secondary education, technical school or multiple years’ experience preferred

Experience: This position requires a strong background in management in an aviation, MRO or aviation production facility of a similar size, preferably of at least ten years, with at least five years in management.
