Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. This hands-on role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex production equipment, including die cast machines, CNCs, furnaces, air compressors, chillers, and other support systems. The ideal candidate possesses strong diagnostic skills, including the ability to read PLC logic and electrical schematics, and is dedicated to maximizing equipment uptime through preventive and corrective maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems with minimal supervision.
• Maintain and service die cast machines, CNCs, trim presses, furnaces, ladles, sprayers, extractors, and automation systems to ensure consistent, reliable operation.
• Diagnose issues using PLC logic, HMI interfaces, and technical documentation (Allen Bradley experience preferred).
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and accurately document all performed tasks.
• Respond promptly to production calls and breakdowns to minimize equipment downtime.
• Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to support troubleshooting efforts.
• Maintain critical facility systems such as HVAC, compressed air, lighting, and RO water filtration.
• Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions for recurring or complex issues.
• Recommend and support continuous improvement projects that enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior technicians to support skill development and team effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proficient in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting; ability to work with PLCs and read ladder logic.
• Experience with safety practices including Lockout/Tagout, arc flash safety, and safe lifting techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and reaching in an industrial setting.
• Comfortable working in hot, loud, and high-volume production environments.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
