JOB SUMMARY
The Shipping/Receiving Manager directs the activities of the Shipping/Receiving Department operating from a narrow scope of responsibility to maintain shipping schedules and to ensure quality standards are met. Ensures adequate inventory of materials and products in accordance with inventory cycles and organizational philosophy. Conducts and/or manages cycle counts of inventory materials based upon computer generated lists and/or Epicor system. Coordinates and/or manages physical inventory counts of finished product. Must have knowledge in both Shipping and Receiving areas. You will be working closely with the sales team, customers, and vendors to help Innoveyance win business and solve customer problems. This is a full-time in-person position based out of our Mitchell, IN location.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Demonstrates proficiency in scheduling trucks and getting product shipped in an accurate and timely manner.
· Ensures that shipping schedules are met.
· Ensures shipments are complete and accurate.
· Ensures quality standards are achieved.
· Completes required paperwork for the Shipping department.
· Provides guidance to employees regarding Shipping operations.
· Assists in the hiring process and training of employees
· Assembles product using shipping paperwork, customer order, and/or verbal order
· Assists in preparing product for shipment, including but not limited to obtaining material, building skids, stacking shipments in/on appropriate skid container, and securing shipment with appropriate materials.
· Ensures adequate inventory of materials/ products based on spreadsheets, Epicor, and other applicable documentation.
· Packages, counts, seals, inspects, cleans, sorts, and/or prepares materials, parts, and/or finished goods.
· Performs safety and housekeeping duties.
· Participates in required training and applies safety skills/ knowledge.
· Participates in training of co-workers in all aspects of job responsibilities.
· Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office software, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office Project.
· Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
· During the workday, this position may be expected to do the following on a frequent basis: walking, sitting, squatting. kneeling, using hands and fingers, talking, and hearing.
· This person may be required to lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
· While performing the duties of this job, this position may be exposed to a noise level that is usually minimal but may be elevated at times.
