Are you passionate about transforming beautiful designs into factory‑ready specifications that delight customers? We are seeking a Technical Designer to join our growing team and help bring our bedding and home goods from concept to completion. As part of the HiEnd Accents team, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop products for our portfolio of brands—including HiEnd Accents, Paseo Road, Indigo Hill, and Saturday Linens—ensuring every detail meets our high standards. Please note: Please note that this role requires experience in technical design. Candidates with backgrounds limited to graphic design or surface-print artwork will not be considered.

Technical Designer Job Responsibilities

  • Product Feasibility & Planning: Collaborate with Creative, Sales, and Sourcing teams, as well as manufacturers and vendors, to evaluate product specs, ensure feasibility, and determine resources and timelines.
  • Project Management: Create and maintain seasonal product development (PD) calendars, monitor key milestones, and adapt plans to meet deadlines.
  • Quality Control: Establish quality benchmarks and oversee QC throughout all product development phases. Communicate any corrections or issues to factory partners.
  • Technical Documentation & Spec Management: Create and update spec sheets, tech packs, and construction guides. Track and review sample submissions and maintain clear product development records.
  • Sample Evaluation: Review, approve, and perform QC checks on samples. Ensure each sample meets design and quality standards while keeping the sample workspace organized.
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Serve as a primary contact to ensure clear, timely, and consistent communication among all stakeholders, from concept to final production.

Technical Designer Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field; 4 years of experience in a technical designer role can substitute for degree
  • 2+ years of experience in technical design for textiles
  • Strong technical knowledge of textiles, fabrications, weaves, printing techniques, and manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with all stages of product development and product lifecycle
  • Previous experience developing products with overseas factories
  • High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, adapt to shifting priorities, and meet tight deadlines
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and a collaborative team player
  • Keen sense of style, color, and design trends
